Elizabeth Ann Marie Jennings - 75, Debert, passed away peacefully
Saturday morning, January 21, 2012, at Colchester Regional Hospital,
Truro. Born August 14, 1936, in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. MacIntosh.
Elizabeth worked in the bakery at Masstown Market and Cavanagh’s
Grocery Store for many years. Having a love for baking, cooking and
hosting, many will remember the parties held at Elizabeth’s and
Ken’s house. As well, many will remember seeing Elizabeth and
Ken at the Saturday night dances. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and
her collection of teddy bears.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Mark (Susan), Debert; Allan,
Dartmouth; grandsons, Jeramy, Travis; one sister; one brother; several
nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her
husband, Kenneth Raymond Jennings (April 2011); son, Ross Jennings;
one sister.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home,
55 Young Street, Truro, where Elizabeth’s family will receive
friends from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2012, and where the
funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012,
Reverend Don MacQueen officiating. Reception will follow. Spring
interment in Folly Village Cemetery, Glenholme. Family flowers only.
