Colin Timothy "Tim"
O'Brien – 46, Truro,
passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday
evening, May 3, 2015, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born August 13, 1968, in New Glasgow, he was a son of Sherri (Jim)
Lockhart, Belmont, and the late William
O’Brien.
Tim loved animals and enjoyed raising and showing ponies at
exhibitions; many will remember him for his positive outlook and
unique sense of humour. He worked at DJS Concrete Foundations and in
recent years for Municipality of the County of Colchester, where he
thoroughly enjoyed his duties and co-workers. He enjoyed carpentry and
could take any piece of wood and turn it into something beautiful.
Above all, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with
them. He greatly loved and missed his devoted K-9 companion,
Lacey.
Along with his mother, Tim is survived by his wife,
Vicki-Lynn (McCabe); children, Jonathon Peter James McCabe, Morgan
Alta Marie O’Brien, Truro; siblings, Billy (Shelley)
O’Brien, Pleasant Valley; Greta (Mike) Watson, Thorburn;
Linda Weatherbee, Onslow Mountain; several nieces and nephews;
father-in-law, Lloyd Graham, Truro. Along with his father, he was
predeceased by his mother-in-law, Alta Graham. Special thanks are
extended to VON for their exceptional care over the years, staff of
Colchester East Hants Health Centre and especially the staff of
Intensive Care Unit during Tim’s final days.
