As you walk through the double French doors into the front entryway, you will see photographs of the original Mattatall Funeral Home founder, Mr. Spencer Mattatall and his son, Mr. Logan Mattatall and pictures of our current full time staff. A little further up the hallway you will be impressed with the wonderful grandfather clock.

As you enter into the chapel, redone in rose and burgundy variations, the oak woodwork is truly beautiful. Immediately off the chapel, you will find a private family room and visitation room. Many of our families choose to sit in this room during the funeral service so they can be comforted by their family. The double leaded glass doors can be opened so the family has full view of the clergy and organist, however, they remain sheltered from the congregation.
Our ChapelOur Chapel
Many of our families choose to have receptions after the funeral service and we are able to attend to this detail by providing a facility and catering. Our blue room is easily transformed so that a reception can take place. The blue room is also used as a visitation room and as an overflow room for extra large funeral services. It is equipped with a drop down video screen from the ceiling so that even though you are not sitting in the chapel, you still can see and hear the funeral service and feel very much a part of it.

Through out our building you will find many antiques and quiet nooks where you can just get away and have a private conversation. As you look through the building you will see the fine craftsmanship in the wide baseboards, antique chandeliers and plaster mouldings. We take great pride in keeping the building looking its best, both inside and out. The building is fully wheelchair accessible and there are two washrooms. We have speakers throughout the building so that no matter where you are, you can hear what is being said in the chapel during a service.
